(Some of our link pages may change, but you will always find us at www.nicefares.com)
We are a couple of American travelers dedicated to helping ordinary people find affordable ways to travel in their own country and the world. A lot of people have been very kind to us during our travels and this website is our way of repaying them in some small way for their kindness.
We've only been online a short time and the response from the web community has been great. People have been very pleased to find good well-organized budget travel information all in one place. Thanks to all of you who have already e-mailed us with your comments, encouragement and suggestions.
Please stop by often, as we update our
content whenever we find out about new travel tips. This is a
volunteer site which is totally supported by affiliate advertising related to
budget travel. Please help us cover our expenses by
clicking on a sponsor link or ad such as one of the great
information sites from About.com
or our favorite Commission
Junction affiliates, SkyAuction.com
and www.thebirthdaygame.com,
at some point during your
visit. Our site is
designed mostly for Americans, but our friends from other countries should be
able to use these tips to save money on a visit to the U.S.
This site will tell you:
Flight arrangements are where you can achieve big savings on your travel expenses. This part of our site shows you some of the places that have given us the best airfare prices. We also have a suggestion on how to get your boss to give you a free weekend trip at company expense.
If you can put together a group of 5 or more people, the SkyAuction.com group prices to Europe described in this section are some of the lowest we've ever seen.
The ultimate travel discount is free tickets. Believe it or not, it is possible to travel for free on occasion, even if you don't work for the airlines. Check out this section for information on how to get "bumped" voluntarily and how to get tons of frequent flyer miles.
Contests are also a great way to go.
